Is Countryball Defenders free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no ads. Optional gem packs are sold through our payment partner Xsolla, and the whole tour is built so you can finish it without paying.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, tablets and computers. Want it full screen? Add it to your home screen from the browser menu.
What are countryballs?
Countryballs, also called Polandball, are a comic style where every country is a ball painted with its flag, with white eyes, no mouth and very broken English. Here they are cute, silly and fighting over your lawn. More in our countryballs explainer.
How do I keep my progress?
Automatically. Your save lives on our server and your browser keeps its key. To play on another phone, copy your save code in Settings and load it there, or sign in with Google (optional).
How many countries, stages and balls are there?
205 countries, one stage each: 205 stages in Normal and 205 more in Hell. Every country is also a ball to collect, each with its own weapon and three skills. See them all on the balls page.
What is the Solar Trial?
A daily endless mode that opens after stage 13. Each day it visits one of nine worlds of the solar system, from the Sun to Neptune, each with its own locals and boss. The waves never end, your best run goes on a daily ranking, and everyone who clears a wave gets a prize the next day.
Is there a story?
Yes: 30 comic chapters. The first one plays the moment you open the game, with a lonely Moon and a golden invitation. Later a Golden Ball goes missing, and Switzerland seems to know more than it says. New chapters open as you win stars.
Why does it need an internet connection?
Our server checks every battle by replaying your taps. That keeps the ranks fair and your save safe, so you need to be online to play.
Who can play?
Anyone 13 or older. If you are under 18, ask a parent before buying gems. There are no ads.
Is it about politics?
No. It pokes fun at food, sports, landmarks and famous quirks. No war, no religion, no real people. Just balls bonking balls.
